Engage in an experience of a lifetime by visiting the Masai Mara in Kenya, the Mountain Gorillas of Uganda and meet the Chimpanzees at Murchison Falls.  On this African Adventure, we travel to the Masai Mara National Park, famous for its endless plains of wild animal variety and spectacular natural beauty. 

The rolling grasslands of the Masai Mara offer fantastic game viewing and is a photographers dream. Expect to see buffalo’s, leopards, wildebeest, elephants, black rhinos, zebras and gazelles, along with hippos and crocodiles in the muddy waters of the river.

Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Today we travel from Nairobi to the Masai Mara, world-renowned for the endless plains of wild animals and outstanding natural beauty. We undertake the visit to the Masai Mara in a safari type vehicle, so we ask you to pack a small overnight bag for this purpose

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve

The Masai Mara, a photographers dream and an ideal game viewing opportunity. Today we spend the day game driving, where you will have the chance to see animals such as leopards, elephants, black rhinos, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles as well as hippos and crocodiles in the brown waters of the rivers

Day 3

Lake Nakuru National Park

We bid farewell to the Masai Mara and make our way up North to Lake Nakuru National Park, where we enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to a large flock of flamingos and pelicans, along with leopards, lions, black and white rhinos and numerous buck varieties.

Day 4

Jinja

This morning, not only do we cross the border into Uganda, but we also cross the equator on the way to Jinga, Uganda's second largest city and the point where the Nile flows out of Lake Victoria to begin a 6695-kilometre journey to Egypt and the Mediterranean.

We have the pleasure of visiting Lake Nakuru National Park, where the flamingos can be spotted. Cross into Uganda where you can visit a Chimpanzee sanctuary and explore Kampala. After we visit Murchison Falls National Park, we will head up to the home of the largest number of chimpanzees in Uganda – Budongo Forest

Our chimp guide will take us on the trek through the Budongo Forest in search of the magnificent chimps. The next stop will be Lake Bunyon where we can prepare for the upcoming gorilla trekking excursion. These mountain gorillas are extremely endangered and the permit helps to ensure their conservation. 

Day 5

Masindi – Murchison Falls National Park

We head in the direction of the Murchison Falls National Park after a quick stop in the city of Kampala. Murchison Falls is a waterfall found on the course of the Nile and located within the Murchison National Park, recognised as one of the best national parks in Uganda. Our accommodation will be set up in Masindi, where your guide will brief you on the activities for the following day

Day 6

Masindi – Budongo Central Forest Reserve

This morning we meet up with our chimp guide who will guide us through the Budongo Forest, home to around 700 chimpanzees. The Budongo Forest is the largest mahogany forest in the whole of East Africa. We are also able to enjoy a boat cruise in the park. A game drive activity is followed after this amazing experience

Day 7

Kampala

We spend the night in the city of Kampala, where we have the opportunity to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The rhinos are extremely endangered and the Rhino Fund Uganda was formed to help their cause. The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary has, therefore, formed, with 7000 hectares of Savannah and native woodlands

Day 8

Gorillas (Lake Bunyonyi)

We cross the equator once again and travel through the picturesque scenery of Lake Bunyoni. We eagerly prepare for the upcoming gorilla trekking excursion and we receive a briefing of what to expect. The mountain gorillas are extremely endangered and, although, their exact numbers are not known, they are limited to around 650

Day 9

Cultural Cape Town – Stellenbosch

Cape Town is in the picturesque south-west corner of South Africa, conveniently located at the foot of Table Mountain. We spend time exploring the cultural and historical highlights and head north to the famous wine vineyards of Stellenbosch for some wine tasting and discovery on foot

Day 10

Route 62 – Oudtshoorn

We cross the Hottentots-Holland mountains as we set out for the Klein Karoo and our destination in Oudtshoorn. Following the scenic Route 62, we stop to experience the cultural farm stalls and a quirky country pub (Ronnie's Sex Shop), on arrival we visit an Ostrich Farm

Day 11

Heart of Garden Route

Our morning starts with a guided tour to the majestic limestone formation Cango Caves. We then make our way to the Outeniqua Mountains, and head the outstanding coastline of the Garden Route. We spend the coming days delving into the many optional activities on offer

Day 12

Tsitsikamma

We set some time aside to explore the Garden Route, a national treasure famous for its pristine beaches (Plettenberg Bay), forest walks and a range of optional activities. We have the opportunity to visit beautiful villages like Nature's Valley and hop on/off the truck at places that interest you

Day 13

Tsitsikamma National Park

On foot we explore the rugged coastline of one of South Africa's premier marine reserves, Tsitsikamma National Park. Take to hiking the challenging Waterfall trail and the world renowned Otter Trail and stop for a refreshing swim. Zip Line for a spectacular birds eye view to end your day off.

Day 14

Addo Elephant National Park

We make a stop in the surfacing mecca of Jeffrey's Bay, famous for it's waves. You have the opportunity to explore its beauty and visit the surfing museum. We then make our way to the Addo Elephant National Park where we meet one of the members of the Big 5
